I am currently working as a Systems Engineer at GE Aviation Systems in the Remote Data Concentrator unit. This product is part of the Common Core System (CCS) solution for the Boeing 777X aircraft, and is effectively the "nervous system" of the aircraft, transfering data from sensors and other systems to a centralized computing resource, transimtting back actions and commands to other systems.
My role involves requirements generation, requirements reviews, analysis of problem reports, change requests and development of test procedures.
Open Flight Deck is an R&D project looking at next generation flight deck technologies. My contribution to the project was the development of ARINC 661 User Applications for demos, such as the Primary Flight Display or the Crew Alerting System applications.
In 2018, I was awarded with the GE Engineering Recognition Day award in the Early Career category for my contributions to the project. The award ceremony was chaired by Alan Caslavka, GE Aviation Avionics Vice-president.
